2020 – Projects to get New Zealand back on top

The initiatives listed on this site will make a major contribution to the performance of the New Zealand economy over the next 10 years. These projects are building off the learning and experience that we at The ICEHOUSE and others have had over the last 10 years. Some are new but most are simply scaling up what we have found to work. That is an exciting part of this 2020 project and the risk is relatively lower.

They are not ‘the only projects that matter’. They are projects identified by the ICEHOUSE and its partners in the Kiwi innovation ecosystem that are focused on helping more Kiwi organisations to become internationally successful. There will be other projects that could have significant impact and they should be supported on their merit. This is about putting a front-foot forward with a stake in the ground, help us to make these happen and standup with your own initiatives that you believe will make a big difference and let’s make it happen.

We hope you feel inspired by our ambition and see opportunities to be involved in some or many of these exciting projects, which provide some focus, energy and momentum. We and you will add other projects over time; this is just the start…
